It is an exciting day for Natron Energy! I visited the plant almost 2 years ago and it is amazing to see the progress we have made!
Today, we announced the opening of the United States’ first-ever commercial-scale sodium-ion battery manufacturing facility in Holland, MI. We are proud to contribute to the fast-growing clean energy sector in Michigan, where our new facility will support more than 100 high-quality jobs. Our Holland facility is projected to produce 600 MW of sodium-ion batteries annually, serving as a blueprint for future Natron giga-scale facilities. Our sodium-ion batteries offer higher power density, higher cycle life, a domestic U.S. supply chain, no flammability concerns, and no use of lithium, cobalt, nickel, copper, or other difficult-to-obtain minerals. Special thanks to Holland Mayor Nathan Bocks and Advanced Research Projects Agency-Energy (ARPA-E) Director Evelyn Wang, PhD, for joining us at today’s ribbon-cutting event, as well as to our customers and investors for their support leading up to this milestone.
