"The potential in Denmark [for CCS] goes beyond our own country". Those were the words of MP Lea Wermelin, when I attended the very interesting INNO-CCUS Roadmap 2050 event earlier this week in Copenhagen. At CCUS partners we couldn't agree more. Denmark is in a unique position to tackle our own emissions, but also to spearhead efforts in the EU. The winners of the first-of-its kind (in Europe) onshore storage licenses will be announced within the next 4 weeks, and these new projects will increase availability of storage sites and drive costs down. Exciting times ahead 🚭

Lea further emphasized the criticality in solving the urgent emissions challenge, but also said that ‘it is also good business’ to do so. ‘We can do it in a way in Denmark so it doesnt need to be funded by the public forever’ 💶💵💸 At CCUS Partners we couldn’t agree more, and that is why we are here. Good to see that the folks at Cenex and Vauxhall are shining on how the charging infrastructure industry currently measures the success of roll outs and introduction to the new metrics that they are using. There are still flaws with these new metrics but it's a step in the right direction in helping to identify areas that are well and less well served relative to demand. https://lnkd.in/eSNVBkW5
