National Restaurant Association Show’s Post

National Restaurant Association Show reposted this

My family is full of picky eaters. When we recently found ourselves with a new server at one of our favorite restaurants, I was a little more than curious as to how it would go - but all of us were wholly impressed with his preparedness and use of technology to provide warm, accurate, and efficient service. That balance between high tech and high touch is what we’re talking about at the National Restaurant Association. It starts with understanding the value proposition we offer our customers - determining their needs, wants, preferences, and behaviors - and then tailoring technology and service accordingly. Consider this: For over half of Gen Z and even more for Millennials, technology is positively impacting their restaurant experience. However, more than half of Baby Boomers would like to see fewer technology options at table service restaurants. To learn more about that balance, check out my full remarks from this year’s National Restaurant Association Show.  https://lnkd.in/eFVDyGTb

Your insights on balancing technology with personalized service are truly enlightening. How do you think restaurant operators can best navigate the different preferences across generational lines?
