As someone who has established and operated children's psychiatric hospitals, I've witnessed firsthand the critical importance of addressing mental health needs in youth. Failing to provide adequate support can lead to chronic mental health challenges in adulthood. It's clear that we need to prioritize mental health resources for our youth. By investing in programs and resources for mental health support, we can significantly improve the well-being of future generations. Let's work together as a community to develop and expand these vital resources. #NationalChildrensMentalHealth #MentalHealthIsHealth #EndTheStigma #OkayToSay #AthraSystems

This week is National Children's Mental Health Week. With the rise in teen mental health issues, speaking about it is more important than ever. 20.3% of eight to 16-year-olds had a probable mental disorder in 2023, according to the NHS 'Mental Health of Children and Young People, 2023'. So what can we do about this? ✨ encourage them to do something they love at least once a week ✨ help them find other caring adults to open up to (as well as you) ✨ talk openly about how to deal with challenges and how to hold on to mental wellbeing, reducing the stigma ✨ create opportunities to have gentle and honest conversations with our girls, about anything and everything What else do you think we can do about the rise in teen mental health issues? #childrensmentalhealth #childrensmentalhealthweek #mentalhealth

According to the Mental Health Foundation, around one in four people in the UK experience mental health problems every year. Being a parent is extremely rewarding, but it can also be incredibly challenging. When the mental health of a parent is compromised, it can significantly impact their ability to provide care and support for their children. This means prioritizing parental mental health is crucial, because healthy parents raise healthy children. Concise Medico supports the cause of developing effective interventions through extensive research into parental mental health in the UK. It is okay to not be okay. #ParentalMentalHealth #SelfCare #MentalHealthAwareness #MentalHealthMatters #SelfCareMatters #BreakTheStigma #BeKindToYourself
