How to Hunt a Monkey. “Do you know how hunters of old used to trap monkeys?” A man asked his child. “Rather than chasing them up a tree or shooting arrows from below, they’d put a heavy glass jar with a narrow neck on the floor, which had the monkeys’ favourite food inside. They’d then step back and hide, waiting for the unsuspecting animal to approach. When it did, the monkey would reach inside, clench a fist around the food, and try to pull it out. However, the narrow neck of the jar would stop the poor monkey from getting its hand out! It’d pull and pull, but to no avail. There was simply no way to get its hand out of the jar without releasing the food. Rather than letting go, though, the monkey would persevere, refusing to drop its dinner. The hunters would then approach and catch it to enjoy a meal of their own.” “Don’t be like that monkey,” warned the man, “In life, to fight another day and grow as person, you must know when to quit, when to move on, and when to let go of whatever’s holding you back.” Moral of the story: Sometimes you have to let go and give up what you have now in order to receive something better in the future. When things fall apart... what do you do? See, in the animal kingdom, #survival is not just for the fittest, but for those who can camouflage themselves the best. Imagine an insect whose key goal of the day is to avoid being some animal or bird's next meal. Now imagine the same insect with bright yellow lines nesting on a bright green stalk. It stands out like a sore thumb and can easily be spotted by its predators. So, this bug has 2 #choices; the first is to run as fast as it can to a more favorable spot in the flowers and hide there. The second choice is to stay put complaining about the rain ( which it has no control over) which allowed the stalk to turn a bright green. And so yes, when things fall apart, it is not #wise to sit and mope all day long ( especially when you had no control over the factors) but your only course of action is to move with #speed, to do the next right thing and to get things done no matter what! Ostrich eyes interesting facts. Did you know that An ostrich's eye is bigger than its brain, and is the largest eye of any living land animal, measuring five cms across. The ostrich eye is five times bigger than the human eye and any other land animal. They have long eyelashes to prevent sand entering and when they close their eyes the lower lid moves upwards. However it is outranked in eye size by one creature. The colossal squid has the largest animal eyes ever studied. It possibly has the largest eyes that have ever existed during the history of the animal kingdom. Cobwebs are not made by all spiders. Cobwebs are created by spiders from the family Theridiidae, commonly known as comb-footed spiders. 3. Spider silk is incredibly strong.
