👉 For what purpose are dermatological tests performed? At 𝗦𝗞𝗜𝗡𝗟𝗔𝗕, 𝗱𝗲𝗿𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝘁𝗲𝘀𝘁𝘀 are performed for many different types of products: from cosmetics to household chemicals, hygiene products, and even textiles or cosmetic raw materials. Dermatological tests are performed to check the safety of products when they interact with the skin. The tests check the so-called skin compatibility when we evaluate the potential irritant and allergenic properties of the tested products. Normally, dermatological tests are conducted with people with normal or sensitive skin. At 𝗦𝗞𝗜𝗡𝗟𝗔𝗕, we also have dedicated dermatological studies involving people with documented and undocumented skin allergies, as well as those with AD. Working with probands allows us to analyse a wide variety of allergy cases, which also becomes a valuable source of information for our further research work. We cordially invite you to order dermatological tests at 𝗦𝗞𝗜𝗡𝗟𝗔𝗕!

In safety 🦺 covid did not/ has not gone away and ⛑ Using a hand sanitizer with perfume and other allergenic ingredients may increase the risk of developing skin allergies, resulting in hand eczema. In addition, frequent use of hand sanitizer may reduce the amount of fat in the skin. If you develop a rash or other reaction to a hand sanitizer, the first step is to stop using it and wash your hands with a gentle hand wash. Antiseptic products like hand sanitizers and soaps, which help prevent the growth of disease-causing microorganisms, can be especially harsh on your hands. They can potentially make eczema worse, leading to increased itching, breakouts, and even bleeding from dryness. If your hands are swelling up, cracking, peeling, weeping or exhibiting other signs of an allergic reaction, see a doctor or pharmacist, and stop using that particular sanitiser. Other tips include: Make note of the ingredients, to identify any potential allergens. Apply a moisturizer after your hands are washed and dry. ⛑ To ease the symptoms of your itchy skin and rash, consider: Washing the affected area with water and a gentle soap. Applying an over the counter 1% hydrocortisone cream. Taking a cool shower to ease your discomfort from the burning and itching.

Allergy prevention by choosing hypoallergenic products? Natural skin care is often the first line of defence against skin allergies. When choosing products, it is advisable to favour hypoallergenic formulations. These special products are designed to minimise the risk of allergic reactions. An important step is to read ingredient lists carefully. Avoid products with artificial fragrances, parabens and known allergens such as nuts or gluten. Also look out for long chemical names as these can often be irritating. It is advisable to carry out a patch test by applying a small amount of the product to an area of your skin and observing the reaction for 24 hours. If you have known allergies, it is advisable to speak to a doctor and carry out an allergy test if necessary. Natural ingredients such as aloe vera or camomile can have a soothing effect, especially on sensitive skin. Moisturising products help to keep the skin barrier intact. It is important to cleanse the skin thoroughly to remove irritating residues. A skincare diary can help to recognise connections between products and reactions. Don't forget sun protection: use a hypoallergenic sunscreen that provides broad-spectrum protection and contains physical filters such as zinc oxide. These measures and attentive skin monitoring can effectively prevent skin allergies. #Cosichem #allergies #hypoallergenic #cosmetics #allergyprevention #natural #formulations
