How does this overtake happen? Karts get overtaken most corners on he racetrack. But how or why do these happen? It could be: - from a drivers mistake - a better handling kart - different racing line - different gear ratios In this example, the overtake was taking place 3 corners before it eventually happened. The chasing drivers takes slightly wider lines than the leading driver & by accelerating earlier on the tightest corner on the circuit, the extra momentum means an easy overtake on the straight. Formula E Fact 🏎 "Attack Charge" Attack Charge, a new feature that debuted in Season 9, was originally scheduled to be used in a few races later in the season. However, the production of the fast chargers was delayed due to issues with the Gen3 car's new batteries, which caused delays. Consequently, the debut of Attack Charge was pushed back, and it will be used in a few races in Season 10, following criticism from the teams about switching to a new race format midway through the season. During Attack Charge races, teams will have to stop for a mandated thirty seconds to replenish the car's batteries. This pause will allow the teams to access two enhanced attack mode enhancements. #feinsider #nissanproud #formulae

Which line is likely to cause the most EXIT OVERSTEER? If all racing lines are taken at equal speed, take into account the different apex points and how that will effect the karts behaviour. Quite possibly, the way the kart is reacting to you as a driver when cornering is because of your line / apex point.

Formula 1 pit stops are a marvel of precision, speed, and teamwork. Here's how the pit stop times are calculated: - Stationary Time: The primary focus of pit stop timing is the stationary time, which is the duration the car remains stationary in the pit box. This is the time taken by the team to change tires, adjust the front wing, or make other necessary modifications. #HowDoesFormulaOneCalculatePitStopTimes

Mack Missions - Goodwood Last weekend saw us once again back to support the 30th edition of the Goodwood Festival of Speed, although no one was expecting the fun to be curtailed when, for the first time in its running, the weather intervened to close the show for the whole of Saturday. While we are accustomed to the UK having weather, this wild wind warning gave us some added pressure. We’re used to having short notice or last-minute requests to get things moving but with the Goodwood estate being surrounded by ancient trees with multi-million-pound cars underneath them, logistics was certainly going to be another Mack Mission. The dynamic debuts of the McLaren 750S and the Solus GT plus heritage race cars from the motorsport division and road cars meant that we needed to not only get the cars off the estate but also needed to get some secure local storage arranged. With two of our six-car fleet plus a single-car trailer and Discovery on hand, it was more reminiscent of a Westhampnett scramble than automotive logistics but needs must. Starting at around 6 p.m., we picked the first load and headed to some hastily arranged storage with the fantastic people at Bestlog for some warehouse space. The need to also take some cars back to McLaren HQ meant that sleeping wasn’t part of the plan and finally, around 3 a.m. with the winds building from the coast, we had everything out of harm’s way. The forecast meant it would be just the one day of the weekend missed and so it turned out to be and the whole process was then reversed in order to bring back the cars as if nothing had happened for the crowd to enjoy on Sunday. In the event, with all the technical wizardry on display, it came down to who you know and letting them get on with it. This is what we do. The call went out and we responded and the single message back was loud and clear; “..as usual, you’re the only guys who put in the over-achievement that we need, when it’s needed, every time. Thank you” - McLaren Automotive & Racing The dates for the 2024 event will be released soon and as ever, we’ll be there. Whatever the weather. #mclaren #mclarenautomotive #cartransport #coveredcartransport

Which side of the track to overtake? Typically if the driver you’re attempting to overtake is on the racing line, there’s more space to overtake on the inside of the driver. Reasons why: • More space to fit your kart in • That’s where the driver you’re overtaking is looking Sometimes you have no other option but to go to the outside, but where possible, choose the inside.
