The Australian Government has extended the deadline for applications to join an AI Advisory Body to respond to the opportunities and risks of AI. We are seeking leading AI experts for up to 10 positions including a Chair. The AI Advisory Body will: - provide independent advice on AI developments and options for AI capability development and regulatory reform - meet up to 6 times a year, in-person or virtually - report to the Minister for Industry and Science. As a member, you’ll play a key role in supporting the government’s Safe and Responsible AI agenda. You’ll collaborate with government agencies, advise on cross-cutting issues, and engage with international counterparts where needed. The AI Advisory Body will include members from a range of backgrounds, ensuring diversity of expertise including from highly impacted communities.
