I’m pumped to share that I’ve started a new position as Program Manager, Regional Marketing at Elastic! It's been one week down in my new role and I'm feeling so good about joining this team! Thank you Courtney Killough and the team for the warmest welcomes. There's so much to take in as I onboard, but I've already established some great connections that I know is just the start to the strong foundation of the amazing work we'll do together. I'm excited to learn more and contribute to Elastic's mission to help customers capitalize on the world of possibilities of #GenAI. 🙌

I've been privileged and lucky to have had MANY wonderful managers and department leaders as described below throughout my career. One thing they all have in common is the approach to being partners at the job and bringing out the best in their teams. Some of them are still mentors and some I consider personal friends now. I'll forever be grateful for their support, authenticity, and friendship.

A good manager is truly a blessing. Have you ever worked for a manager like this: As Daksh Sethi points out, a good manager can… * Improve Your Well-being: A good manager respects you as a whole person, supporting both your physical and mental well-being. * Instill a Sense of Belonging: Through teamwork and mutual respect, a good manager makes every employee feel valued and like they belong. * Facilitate Growth: They recognize and celebrate your strengths and provide opportunities to level up, helping you grow faster. * Simplify Your Work: They clarify direction and provide access to resources. A good manager makes your job more manageable and less overwhelming. * Act as a Helpful Coach: A good manager shares their experience and asks the right questions, so you can learn as you go and find your own way. * Boost Your Confidence: They appreciate your effort, support you in your work, and offer effective feedback to help build your confidence. * Build a Positive Environment: A good manager ensures you and everyone else feels heard, encouraging collaboration and open communication along the way. * Help You Overcome Challenges: They help you reframe challenges as opportunities, so that you can supercharge your learning and development. In short, a good manager can make or break your career. If you have one, let them know and tag them in the comments. If you don’t, it might be time for a change ;-) ♻️ Repost to help your network. A year later this post still rings true, especially as we see and witness the rolling back of women’s rights in real time. #iwd2024
On this #internationalwomensday, let us not just celebrate all of the strong, amazing women who work tirelessly to leave a legacy for this generation and the next generation of women to have opportunities without obstacles. But let us also remember all of the work still to be done to ensure the protection of women’s rights, equality, pay equity, paid family leave, access to education and healthcare, diversity and inclusion to build a brighter future - for all of us. As a mom to a daughter (and son), it’s my mission for them to know they can achieve anything they set their mind to, but also the importance of building & bringing others up with them in the process. Let us all celebrate women today, but also do the hard work EVERY DAY - not just 1 day out of 365 and 1 month out of 12. #embraceequity #iwd2023
