Today is #RUOKDay 2023 and as a business, this is an important day that we take seriously. It's a day to remind everyone that it's okay to not be okay, and that we can all help each other by checking in and asking, "RU OK?" If you're struggling, please know that you're not alone. There are people who care about you and want to help. Reach out to a friend, family member, or mental health professional. You can also call a crisis hotline, such as Lifeline on 13 11 14. Here are some tips for starting an R U OK? conversation: - Choose a time and place where you can give your full attention. - Be direct and ask the question, "Are you OK?" - Listen without judgment. - Offer support and let the person know you're there for them. Remember, asking someone if they're OK can make a difference. So let's all make RU OK? Day a day to show our support for each other and create a more mentally healthy community. #RUOKDay #MentalHealthAwareness #care #business #corporateresponsibility #health #corporate #australia

The 13 - 19 May is #mentalhealthawarenessweek and we’re showing our support by helping to raise awareness. The theme is #MomentsforMovement Moving our bodies is important for mental health. When life is busy, it can be tricky finding time for wellbeing boosting activities. But finding moments for movement might be easier than you first think. Why not use the time you spend waiting to move more? When you’re waiting for the kettle to boil, for your kids to come out of school, or bus or train to arrive. These moments add up! Follow the campaign from the Mental Health Foundation Need support? If you’re experiencing low mood or any mental health struggles, you’re not alone, it affects so many of us so don’t be afraid to open up. There is always support out there, nationally and locally too. For more info and help visit: @mindcharity @anxietyukofficial @mentalhealthfoundation @rethinkmentalillness @samaritanscharity Visit us at Healthwatchstockport.co.uk for local support or the tagged organisations. If you work/volunteer in health or social care, run a community group/ service and may need to talk to people about their mental well-being, don’t forget the Connect 5 training offered by @stockportmind - great training to help make a difference! #mentalhealth #mentalhealthawareness #mentalhealthmatters #support #counselling #community #health #healthcare #selfcare #healthwatchstockport #stockport #healthservice #stockportborough #healthwatch #healthcare #socialcare #healthandsocialcare #stockporttown #greatermanchester #wellbeing #thoughts

I obviously believe in all of the resources and partners that we collaborate with through Culture Crush Business LLC. This one is one that I have personally used and had significant change from. I was introduced to Daytryp Health - the wonderful Rudy Montijo Jr., MS and Jeff Toppel - through Holly Norton, PHR, SHRM-SCP and learned about them through the HR lense. This is important to mention because it’s HR supporting this type of resource for mental health of employees! 💥 GAME CHANGER! Imagine you work for a company that offers this type of mental health support to you. Then as an individual you and your teammates start to find clarity and support in life. Beyond that, you now have fewer headaches, you can stop taking anxiety meds, or you stop using drugs outside of work and you become a better human and better employee. This is a resource that HR can support and get behind. This is also a resource you can tap into individually. I had my first Daytryp Health visit/ experience and the same week I did my Get Out Of Your Own Way retreat. 🤯 HOLY SHIT That combination of clarity and work was a game changer. I have grown, changed, learned and… I have very few headaches anymore… when I used to have them 6 out of the 7 days a week. So, if you are stressed, anxious, unsure of yourself and your future, wanting to limit drug usage, work on your anxiety, and become a healthier version of yourself in whatever way that makes sense for you…. This is your start 😉
As we continue our countdown to our event on January 29th, we will continue to highlight some of the amazing partners that you will meet there in person. These resources can help individuals achieve their goals in the new year and companies excel in their culture this year. This next resource is perfect for individuals to tap into if trying to find clarity in the new year. This is also a great resource for employers to partner with and provide as a mental health resource to their employees. We look forward to having Daytryp Health showcased at the next event. Daytryp Health is a mental healthcare organization focusing on the use of psychedelic medicine for healing and trauma. This might not seem like a “normal” resource for employees to share with their staff and it is not. It is an amazing tool to support growth, clarity, and health. Reach out to their team or even Rudy Montijo Jr., MS here on LinkedIn 😉 #Culture #Goals #IndividualGoals #CompanyGoals #Growth #LetsGrow #Resources #Event #PhoenixEvent #Support #MentalHealth #Clarity

Organizations know that improving the mental health of their team members can lead to increased productivity and better morale across the board. But HOW can they take steps to improve without a roadmap for doing so? A couple stats to kick off this beautiful morning! ➡ 73% of Americans say #finances are their #1 source of #stress ➡ 41% of families say high cost of living is their most important financial problem Organizations have done an amazing job these past few years breaking stigmas, providing resources and prioritizing mental health. But what about #financialhealth? Is #financialwellness part of your organizations wellness strategy? We love working with organizations to financially empower staff! It's the new wave. It's what is top of mind for clinicians, it's the best culture, engagement and retention tool out there! Thoughts??

Founder & Adviser @toxic work spaces. I advise professionals how to navigate the workplace, especially toxic work spaces | Strategic Communications Advisor | Writing Coach.
Individualism has long been one of the world's most valued traits, and it’s killing us as professionals. With suicide rates skyrocketing and mental health systems at capacity, we can no longer put individualist ideals on a pedestal without continuing to see the mental wellness of our society plummet. Is it brave or courageous to go through life shouldering the difficulties of issues such as toxic work spaces alone? I'm worried that as a society, we have placed so much value on being independent, that it even applies to facing hardships and issues, like navigating the corporate world, affect our mental health in solitude. When did this start? I wonder 🤔 At toxicworkspaces.com, we have a community called Pros Like Us and we are rediscovering the lost art of community and disrupting the worsening mental health emergency by offering a buffer to professionals navigating the workplace. Our activities include twice a month online check-ins and a coffee offline hangout, every quarter we'd like to host a day retreat to reflect on our personal and professional journeys and weekly well-being resources that we send to our community members. Unfortunately, concerns have been raised that we have short attention spans, fear of being wrong, or just plain discomfort around gathering and I worry that these issues are all interconnected. At the moment I've been wondering what can we do better as a community in 2024. Building something meaningful like Pros Like Us requires a long-term perspective, commitment, and collective ownership. We can rediscover the lost art of community. In 2024, one of our ambitious goals for our community is to implement a tool called Integrative Community Therapy (ICT)- a tool that has been used in 36 countries and has proven successful in creating and fostering the trust and healing that is necessary for communities to thrive, resulting in healthy interdependence. Wishing you all a great day. #community #professionals
