What are you doing for your healthcare coverage? It's open enrollment time again.... If you are a small business owner, can you offer health benefits to your employees? If you could afford them, would you? My wife and I just had an unexpected life event where her department was closed at the company she worked for. This time, my wife's job was providing the health benefits. We got the COBRA letter in the mail, and laughed at what they wanted us to pay to continue coverage. Absurd! Then we went on Healthcare.gov...the ACA Marketplace to look at what they had to offer. Again, the premiums were ridiculous! We looked at a company called Impact Health Sharing. It's not insurance. But to us, being mostly healthy, we find it to be an inexpensive alternative. And I like the idea of members helping members. And the biggest thing to us is that the price is half as much for even the least expensive insurance plans. And there is no network restrictions. See the doctor you want too.
