Did you know? A portion of Orange County’s drinking water travels 242 miles before it gets to our homes! The Municipal Water District of Orange County took Orange County residents on a Metropolitan Water District of Southern California tour of our water’s long journey. Director Linda Ackerman and her guests toured vital water infrastructure, including the Hoover Dam, Whitsett Pumping Plant, Copper Basin, and Parker Dam. The tour helped OC residents better understand the incredible effort it takes to deliver safe, clean, and reliable drinking water to their homes. #water #learningaboutwater #OCisWaterSmart Are you interested in learning more about the Colorado River Aqueduct?
