It was an incredible day five of our third annual Week of Service as team members from five markets set out to make a difference in their communities! Columbia: Our Columbia team was honored to work with two incredible organizations! The team completed their THIRD ramp build with EmmanuWheel to wrap up their time with the organization! EmmanuWheel is an organization that our Columbia team always loves spending time with, and they provide wheelchair ramps to mobility-impaired individuals who cannot afford the cost of the ramps. Columbia Team Members also spent time at the Big Red Barn doing various activities to help maintain the facility so it is ready for guests. The Big Red Barn retreat is a nonprofit that aims to help our military and first responders in need of healing find peace. Greenville: Our Greenville team finished out the week by returning to two organizations! Team Members spent time with Greenville County Animal Care walking dogs to help promote adoptions. Greenville County Animal Care is dedicated to promoting the compassionate treatment of animals in their community through adoption, education, and affordable spay/neuter and veterinary care. Team Greenville also spent time at Daily Bread Ministries Greer cleaning, cooking, and serving food! The Daily Bread Ministries is a non-profit that provides meals to the hungry. Myrtle Beach: Team Myrtle Beach was excited to wrap up their project today! Team Members returned to Body of Christ Church to finish painting and repairs throughout the church. Raleigh: Our Raleigh team, with the help of some incredible trade partners, wrapped up their week-long project at Central Children’s Home of North Carolina where they have been renovating the girls’ cottage. The mission of CCHNC is to provide family-centered services to children and youth aged 8-21 who cannot remain at home due to various reasons, and aims to promote positive family functioning and independent living. A HUGE thank you to our trade partners that were a vital part of this project: Koonce Pressure Washing Majestic Kitchen and Bath Wendell Siding Builders Wholesale Flooring Whites Plumbing Ogilvie Electric The Home Center Lumpy’s Ice Cream Perry Corp. A Bed and A Book (founded by our very own Anneliese Wall) works to create safe and enriching environments where every child can dream by providing beds and bedding to children who have never had a bed of their own. They also supply age-appropriate books with the beds so families can read to their children, or the children can read on their own before they go to sleep. And stay tuned as our Richmond team spends time with an incredible organization next week! #mungohomes #mungohomesfoundation #mungogives #weeksofservice #empoweringcommunity
