Last Friday, I had the privilege of attending the Eastern Europe Intermodal Conference in Budapest for the second time. It was an inspiring and thought-provoking event, bringing together key players in the logistics and transportation sector to address the evolving needs of intermodality in this part of Europe. The day was packed with intensive brainstorming sessions and meaningful discussions with industry peers, all aimed at shaping the future of sustainable transport solutions in the region. Our focus was on exploring ways to establish new rail trade lanes that will not only promote greener, more efficient transportation but also help alleviate the congestion on public roads. As traffic accidents continue to rise, the need for safer, alternative transport routes is more urgent than ever. Rail can play a crucial role in this shift, and these collaborative efforts are paving the way for significant changes. Once again, DP World stands by its promise to build a better, more environmentally responsible, and safer global supply chain. Exciting News in the Shipping Industry! 🚢   DCSA is on a mission to help digitalise the container shipping industry by enabling interoperable data to improve the customer experience, seamless operations and sustainability.   To give you a glimpse into the world of international trade and the incredible work being done, we invite you to watch this captivating video with industry leaders sharing their insights into how digitalisation may help improve our industry. DCSA members have already embraced 38% of these new standards and are busy testing, piloting, and implementing even more.   This translates into hundreds of millions of standardised data calls annually between industry stakeholders, improving the customers’ ability to take decision, and reduces friction.
