When George Lane established Lane Automotive in 1964, he set out to bring high-performance racing parts to enthusiasts who shared his passion for speed and tire smoke.
Starting from a modest storefront, Lane Automotive grew to what many know now as Motor State Distributing. Today, we still maintain the local retail storefront, Lane Automotive, meeting the needs of regional racers, hot rodders, and motorsports fans.
Nearly 60 years after George began selling parts out of his garage, Motor State Distributing remains proudly family-owned. We still get excited partnering with businesses and consumers who share our dedication to racing and high-performance automotive products.

Allstar Performance Day at Volusia Speedway Park!
Our company-owned brand, Allstar Performance, Division Manager Curt Spalding recently joined students from across the country and Canada at Volusia Speedway Park, in Florida for Allstar Performance Day! The students are part of the University of Northwestern Ohio motorsports program, and Curt joined them to talk about potential career paths, the value of networking, and potential job opportunities both with Allstar and Motor State Distributing, as well as with our customers and suppliers.
In past years, 5-6 students would typically stay behind after the presentation for additional discussion; this year, around half the group stayed!
Allstar Performance is honored to be able to participate in this program and help inspire the future of the motorsports industry!
