Today is International Yoga Day, and people worldwide will be striking warrior poses to celebrate. In this corner of the world, Mosaic recognizes yoga as a powerful tool for improving physical and mental well-being and can be especially beneficial for those with a cancer diagnosis. “Yoga helps cancer patients, and survivors by reducing fatigue, improving sleep and decreasing pain,” says Jess Bledsoe, Mosaic physical therapy assistant and yoga instructor. “Additionally, it supports mental health by decreasing anxiety and enhancing overall emotional well-being.” Mosaic Cancer Care offers free yoga classes every Tuesday from 4 – 5 p.m. in St. Joseph. It is open to any current or past patient, family member, caregiver or friend. Call (816) 271-7017 to make a reservation. Check out other cancer-related events at https://lnkd.in/gk4iQDxW.
