After being in sales for decades, having had hundreds of calls, demo's and presentations recorded, and most recently having launched a podcast, I still find it challenging to listen to my recorded self.
But I still make myself do it in an effort to improve.
Today I was rewarded with getting to experience the conversation I had a few weeks back with Dr. Eric Tobler, DMD, MBA for a second time on this weeks release of The Dental Economist Show.
They say it is not what someone says but how they make you feel. I remembered the conversation being very interesting. More importantly though I remembered feeling energized when we wrapped.
You can't listen to Dr. Tobler talk about Dentistry and the things they are working on at Mortenson Dental Partners without feeling his passion for their work.
I've long admired Mortenson from afar, and have been thrilled that we've been able to partner with them on some key technology initiatives.
Some of my favorite parts of the discussion:
✔ Top Docs Initiative creating a clinical community of collaboration and learning within the organization
✔ ESOP (Employee Stock Ownership Plan) for all Mortenson employees
✔ Importance of a culture that embraces viewpoints that challenge ones currently held beliefs and fosters open discussions about opposing philosophies
✔ Leveraging new technologies and innovations to provide better patient care while better supporting Doctors
If you have an opportunity to check out this weeks release it would be appreciated to hear any of your thoughts or feedback in the comments below!
