Anyone who services claims organizations, whether through TPA services, software, or in any other capacity knows that Claims buyers are price sensitive. It is just the nature of their business... Here is what that should not mean for you.
1️⃣ Underpricing - Don't underprice the value of your product. Price gets squeezed when you cannot articulate the value of your product and you get "commoditized" amongst your competitors.
2️⃣ Chasing bad business - Don't throw good money after bad... It is ok to let business go if it will not generate the necessary margins. It also sends a signal to the other party that your services are of a higher quality.
3️⃣ Lost revenue opportunities through misaligned incentives - Often sales incentives are not aligned neatly to your own growth targets, leading to sub-optimal deals. Ensure you are motivating the wanted behaviors and outcomes from your sellers.
