The 40-year journey the Aquarium's taken has brought us far from the modest vision of our founders. Executive Director Julie Packard and Board Chair Tegan (Bradford) Acton sat down recently with the Nob Hill Gazette to share how we've grown from an aquarium that introduced people to the marvelous marine life of Monterey Bay into a global ocean conservation leader and an education center that's inspiring new generations of young people to cherish, protect, and restore the ocean. https://lnkd.in/gSdkKDEc Jennifer Massoni Pardini #MarineConservation #OceanConservation #MarineBiology #SeaOtters #DeepSea #KelpForest #education #MarineScience #PlasticPollution Seafood Watch
It accelerates our community as a leader in the Ocean and appreciation for what it give us.

1moNow I feel OLD! As a young man, I drove for PBT, a local trucking company. I made deliveries to the Aquarium while they were still building it. I also was working on my PADI Divemaster, and had a few students from the aquarium in the class I was helping at Bamboo Reef. The topper, my wife was a volunteer for 10 years there, about 2005 to 2015. It has ALWAYS been a great place to take people to learn about how fragile the ocean really is.
