Forget Equity and Explainability in ML. First you need to get clean and appropriate data. Ask people who have dealt with real production data. Null, missing values are run of the mill. Columns get added, moved or modified from one software version to the next. Guess what happens with older data? Augmentation and synthetic data may be needed. Dirty data can stop any AI/ML effort dead on its tracks!
