When the sun rises, whether you're the hunter or the hunted, running becomes imperative. ☀️ This applies just as much to the African plains as it does to business. In the current world, you need to embrace technology to stay ahead. We recently used 3d printing to quickly mock up a facade idea for a design and build project. Regardless of your location, size or industry, you need to run. #Excellence #Technology #Design #Construction

As society rapidly moves towards sustainability, the mobility industry is also showing rapid changes such as the spread of electric vehicles. In current automotive production, the painting processes emit higher levels of CO2. Therefore, environmentally friendly alternatives are expected. Nissha is working to develop a film insert molding process for the manufacturing of automotive exteriors. #FilmInsertMolding allows for the application of graphic patterns (including functional layers) on the part surface during the molding process. Since this simplified process combines decorating and molding into one step, it results in less environmental impact. Additionally, an insert film manufactured through a printing process can express a greater variety of designs than traditional painting and chrome plating. Therefore, film insert molding is a technology that contributes to both sustainability and design diversity for the mobility industry. This is a challenge that #NisshaSurfaceWorks is undertaking in pursuit of a better future. 7 Advantages of Stereolithography (SLA) for Prototyping Stereolithography (SLA) produces parts with accurate, detailed features and a high-quality surface finish that is perfect for creating visual prototypes and for testing for fit and finish. If you’re currently leveraging machining or other traditional methods to produce prototype parts, SLA is an inexpensive and flexible alternative. What Makes SLA a Rock Star for Rapid Prototyping? Here are seven advantages stereolithography offers: Print Complex Shapes // Thanks to its fine resolution (hundreds of microns), SLA can be used to print thin walls, sharp corners, small holes and complex shapes. Small Layer Size // SLA can print in layers as small as 0.002 inches. That enables it to produce very fine details and cosmetic-quality surfaces. Tolerances // SLA offers some of the tightest dimensional tolerances of any additive manufacturing technology. High-Quality Surface Finish // The excellent surface finish and dimensional accuracy of SLA prototype parts make them ideal for testing for fit and finish. Clear Parts // We can print parts using a clear resin that can be sanded to an optically clear finish that is almost glass-like in appearance. Larger Prototypes // SLA enables the production of larger, lightweight prototype parts, using internal lattice structures for support. Easy to Post-Process // SLA parts are easy to finish by sanding, painting and/or clear coating. Why Choose Fathom’s SLA 3D Printing Service? Fathom has the capacity and expertise to help you produce high-quality stereolithography parts to meet your prototyping needs. Learn more about SLA here: https://lnkd.in/gr_A5pWs Get an instant quote on your SLA project today with our SmartQuote platform. https://lnkd.in/gByHxkmN - The Fathom Team #fathom #manufacturing #innovation #industrialengineering #advancedmanufacturing #additivemanufacturing #rapidprototyping #3dprinting #3dp #sla #stereolithography

3D concrete printing may change the world… …But probably not this year. In fact, there’s a good chance you won’t see significant applications of concrete printing for another decade. Here’s why: Limited material choices Expensive initial investment Highly complex technical requirements Too much variation in strength and durability But the appeal is still there, and for good reason. Fewer laborers during construction process More versatile structures, shapes, and designs Massive potential savings in labor and materials More environmentally-conscious construction method Want to know more about 3D printed concrete? Our blog has an article just for you: https://lnkd.in/gjufUAK2 #ConcreteConstruction #3DCP #3DConcretePrinting #ConcretePrinting #BrooksConstruction #InnovationsInConstruction #Innovation #NewTechnology

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗺𝗲𝘁𝗮𝗹𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝗻𝗱𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘆 𝗶𝗻 𝗦𝘄𝗶𝘁𝘇𝗲𝗿𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗶𝘀 𝗮𝗻 𝗲𝘅𝗰𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗺: 𝗙𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗵𝗼𝗿𝘀𝗲𝘀𝗵𝗼𝗲𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝗽𝗮𝗰𝗲 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘃𝗲𝗹 🛰 As a globally active and technologically leading high-tech company with projects in the semiconductor, aerospace and MedTech industries, it is always exciting to remind ourselves of our roots: metalworking in its most original form. At Blech, you can watch the journeymen from the U. Teuscher forge forging directly. In some respects, the themes of a traditional craft are still very similar to those of a global high-tech industry: for example, both the camera mounts of the space probe and the horseshoes of a horse have a bionic design. A part of 3D metal printing for the space probe has to be extremely light, which is why the shape follows the actual statics. The horseshoe is adapted precisely to the horse's hoof, with different metal thicknesses, similar to a modern customised sports shoe. The product is identical, but the manufacturing process is very different. The challenges of joining/welding different metals are also significant for the blacksmiths and us. It's nice to see the whole spectrum of metal processing in one place in Switzerland. #SheetMetal #Oldtech #Hightech #swissfactorygroup
