Had the great fortune to partner up with three wonderful panellists (and just all-around good people) this afternoon to discuss strategies for prioritizing mental health in the workplace: Many thanks to Kiruba Shankar E., Amir Kaplan, and Frederic Repond who joined me in discussing why it is absolutely critical for Insurtech / insurers to focus more on mental health in the workplace, along with a number of insights on how to do it, starting with leaders setting the tone. The statistics we discussed are sobering (*see below). There are clear financial benefits for businesses to meaningfully address mental health in the workplace, and substantial positive outcomes for our employees and customers. Grateful to Insurtech Insights for the opportunity to moderate the panel and happy to have had the chance to discuss Percepta Leadership’s mission of helping leaders get human about being human! * just some of what we discussed: ~25% of adults struggle with a mental illness, half of working adults say they are very stressed every day, annual cost to employers of employees’ poor mental health has increased substantially. #mentalhealth #leadership
