Thank you for the invitation to come and explore Artillery CIC Morag McGuire. I was struck by how generous the cohort of artists is that gravitate towards the art trail and am certain this has something to do with both how attentive you are to building slow, trust fuelled relationships and how the cycle and pattern of the art trail is both grounding and reassuring (when the creative landscape is so shaky and artists are increasingly balancing their lives with other jobs in order to survive). The conversations and spaces that you are prioritising makes me think about the rarity of opportunities for artists to see themselves within the wider creative and community ecology. And... how important it is for us to keep seeing ourselves as designers and sculptors not recipients and responders. As Prime Minister Mia Mottley of Barbados said last year at the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals Pavilion... "Artists determine the possible, governments determine the probable... And if you [artists] don't work to help us really find what this world must look like, what this world must feel like, must sound like, then we're not going to make it. It is hearts that move people & not necessarily logic. Those of you who know how to sing in tune & to cause people to remember the tune... you are the true global ambassadors. Your message now must matter, because if you don't get that message to matter, you're going to have to get a different planet to live on." So, the question Who Cares? takes us to a place of necessity. Hopefully the space last night offered some tools and thinking prompts to consider the potential impacts and trickiness of prioritising care in (y)our projects. Hopefully it helps the art trail to keep evolving and connecting people. For anyone thinking about how care shows up in their work (in the arts) today, I would totally recommend reading/listening to "A Manifesto for Radical Care or How to be Human in the arts" by Tian Zhang https://lnkd.in/guWWtTGP
Calling all participative artists preparing for the E17 Art Trail... E17 Art Trail artists have a reputation for generous invitations. If your plans include inviting neighbours and art trail visitors to co-create art projects together, to join as creative activists, and to try specialist workshops, do book yourself a place on this workshop. Every step of these initiatives are full of care, so Artillery CIC is delighted to welcome Chloe Osborne to facilitate an evening to fuel your practice with thinking, strategies, connections and tools for disruption! https://lnkd.in/guBYiCxi

A GREAT EXAMPLE OF A DUALISTIC WORLD WHERE EVERYTHING HAS ITS OPPOSITE, OR WHERE NOTHING CAN EXIST WITHOUT BEING REFLECTED IN ITS OPPOSITION. ALSO NATURAL LAWS BY WHICH THE RULE RULES AS UP, SO AND DOWN, WHICH MEANS THAT WITHOUT ROOTS THERE WOULD NOT BE A BEAUTIFUL CANOPY OF A TREE. WE ALSO HAVE THE LAW THAT SAYS THE MACROCOSMOS IS IDENTICAL TO THE MICROCOSMOS THAT WE CAN SEE ON THE BANAL EXAMPLE OF SPIRAL-SHAPED THINGS AND WHILE WE LOOK AT THE SMALL PARTS AND WHILE WE LOOK AT THE PARTS OF THE UNIVERSE. IN FACT, ALL THESE LAWS IN NATURE SHOW HOW THERE IS A MATRIX BY WHICH EVERYTHING IS CREATED, AND IF WE UNDERSTAND HOW THE MATRIX WAS CREATED, WE WILL KNOW THE ENTIRE MYSTERY OF CREATION.🌬️🌀🌌🙏

Perspective in Visual Arts In the spring of 2023, I was honored to be part of the Tedx Vail Youth presentation on Perspective. “Perspective” has two definitions; one emotional and one is rules-based. Both the emotional viewpoint of art and the rules are covered in this short video. Learn my shortcut for applying the Golden Ratio to create perspective lines and focal points.
