Volvo Trucks recently partnered with The Coca-Cola Company Canada to put a fleet of electric trucks on the road in the Greater Montreal Area. This is important because it shows that the electric truck industry is growing and that there is competition among truck manufacturers. This competition will help to bring down the cost of electric trucks and make them more accessible to a wider range of businesses. The fact that Coca-Cola Canada is using electric trucks is also important because it shows that major corporations are taking climate change seriously and are investing in sustainable transportation solutions. Overall, the deployment of electric trucks by Coca-Cola Canada is a good sign for the future of electric transportation. It shows that the industry is growing, that there is competition among truck manufacturers, and that major corporations are taking climate change seriously. #electrictrucks #electrification #sustainability #transportation #climatechange #business #logistics #fleetmanagement

⚡⚡⚡ - So happy to announce that Carlsberg Sverige will be electrifying all beverage transportation in southern and western Sweden! 7,650,000 transport kilometers will be electrified across five years in partnership with Einride, to drive progress towards a ZERO Carbon Footprint. This represents emissions savings of almost 12,300 tonnes of CO2, when compared to the use of diesel trucks on these routes - Einride calculates this to be the equivalent of taking 428 diesel cars, driving 200 kilometers a day for a year, off the road. This is an important step towards a #fossil-free transport system, and brings us closer to achieving a net ZERO value chain by 2040. Cheers to progress! 🍻 #TowardsZERO #TowardsZEROandBeyond #ZEROCarbonFootprint https://lnkd.in/ewFNPcqv

Have you also had enough of unnecessary diesel consumption and exhaust fumes? Follow WineWorks' example and replace diesel with electric. Electric tugs from 1 to 28 tonnes: https://lnkd.in/dQzdHqbT
🌱🌏♻️ WineWorks Marlborough introduced an electric tug to their transport fleet last year. The tug replaced diesel trucks which transported goods between the Liverpool Street warehouse and the one on Kendrick Road. Between July 2022 and June 2023, the tug completed about 5,550 trips between the warehouses, moving roughly 50,000 pallets worth of goods. This has saved close to 2,800 truck journeys and cut about 4 tonnes of CO2 emissions! Our Auckland facility is about to debut their own electric tug too! More on that shortly… #SustainabilityWorksAtWineWorks #RoadToCarbonZero #ToitūCertified
