Gas Turbines in Depth – Raising thermal efficiency Gas turbine development is a challenge against “heat.” The higher the combustion temperature of the fuel injected into the turbine blades, the higher the power generation efficiency, which in turn reduces the amount of CO2 emitted per unit output. #MitsubishiPower began developing the 700°C class #gasturbine in 1963. Since then, we have achieved higher temperatures with the 1,250°C class, the 1,350°C class, the 1,500°C class, the 1,600°C class, and the 1,650°C class in 2020 that has achieved the world’s highest class of thermal efficiency, 64% efficiency. We are now aiming for 1,700°C class and 65% or higher efficiency.

1moI’m not into golf, but am happy for both Mistubishi Power and Yuka! She is close to the heart of #Filipinos, having been #Philippine-born and represented the country (while she had dual nationality) until 2021. Congratulations~!
