Two #CSUB students and one alumnus have been appointed as senior fellows for the 2023-24 Intercollegiate Civil Disagreement Partnership. ICDP is a consortium of five colleges and universities — including CSUB's Kegley Institute of Ethics — that provides students with training on how to navigate challenging political and cultural conversations and reduce political polarization through civil dialogue. A new Goldwater report exposes the University of Arizona’s DEI lunacy where students are taught how to “live like a bug,” but nothing at all about the Constitution, the Civil War, or landmark Supreme Court cases… It’s getting out of hand and it’s time for state legislatures and public university boards to hold institutions of higher education accountable for fulfilling their core missions: the pursuit of truth and the rigorous education of citizens. https://ow.ly/kZO550S9P76

Yes👏🏿! It’s marvelous being qualified to serve on “APPAM” Policy Council 💥. Before I even scream 😱 congrats to Lauren 🎈, I want to candidly share with you the first spontaneous thoughts and emotions that emerged inside of me: Wow 🤩! This is a student 🧑🎓 that is going to propel our magnificent Social Work Profession to higher heights for now and forever 👍🏻. Alright, I keep in mind that while most of us Social Workers are out there toiling arduously to provide concrete and clinical services for our beloved clients while we are still earning substandard salaries (in my opinion), we lack so much power to address the conspicuous needs of our clients and ours because we are not in a position to affect real changes through policy making that can provoke requests for change and eventually change itself 😊. We are educated and fired 🔥 up, and we pretty much know and understand the root causes of most issues via our special, unique and distinct skill called: “The Psycho-Social Evaluation” which gives us an incredible way to assess, understand, and as a result diagnose the “presenting problems” of our clients. I have to quickly say that our “Psycho-Social Evaluation” is not a one shot deal occurrence. (032824)
#CSSW PhD student Lauren Toppernberg has been selected to serve on the Association for Public Policy Analysis (APPAM) Policy Council as a student representative. Congratulations to Lauren on this well-deserved accomplishment!

Pleased to again be back at the University of Melbourne for the semester (on the teaching side of the table) to assist with the subject named Property Development for master-level students across disciplines. My mission stays the same: For students to learn the practical skills to complement the theoretical foundations of #property #development by combining art and science for the future of profession. RIP short-term #shareholder value maximisation. Long live #stakeholder value-creation.
