The evolution of data science in the #GenAI wave 🤖 In this exclusive #AWSSummit discussion, Alison Smith, Director of Gen AI Lead at Booz Allen Hamilton, joins #theCUBE’s John Furrier to emphasize the importance of data intuition required to operate Gen AI systems and how the company enables this. “Today, you're looking at use cases now where you have multiple data science interactions around foundation models across environments. It could be the public-private sector or all within the private sector or public sector. It's not just yesterday's data processing problem and enablement around those analytics. There's a lot of interaction around data,” shares Furrier. “Even with the expanded capabilities of Gen AI systems and LLMs, the data aspect is still really important. If some of the tasks are no longer downstream traditional data science tasks, a lot of the data engineering, processing, and intuition is still needed to operate these Gen AI systems effectively,” joins Smith. “We're actually able to upscale a lot of our workforce. In fact, Booz Allen has a ton of AI training.
