I’ve often been asked in public and in private and by our own #Mariconians about our efforts towards sustainability and I am very happy to see the growing awareness and increased sensitivity among the individuals I engage with on this subject. With an aim to communicate our perspective on ESG, our future direction and the progress we have made in this journey, I am happy to present our ESG microsite. The microsite is a dedicated hub where you can explore our ESG initiatives and the meaningful actions we are taking towards adopting sustainable operations. The idea has always been to increase capability, knowledge, communication and collaboration not just within Marico but outside as well. If you have wanted to know where Marico stands on these issues, what we are doing about them, track the progress we have made against our long-term goals and milestones we have achieved, head over to the website - sustainability.marico.com Along with this, we have also established a Global ESG Council comprising of a diverse group of experts and thought leaders who will help steer our ESG efforts on a global scale. Marico’s value system has always been to “Make a Difference,” and it has been a series of small steps over the years that has brought us to where we are today. ESG is not a one-time effort, nor is it something we should be doing alone. I hope with this new initiative, we are able to kick start something which will have an impact in the years to come.
