ANTI-PLATE AND PROUD Today we’re starting a fight with the crockery industry. The plate has sat atop its porcelain tower for too long and it’s time someone challenged it - which is why we’ve invented “bowls”. They’re sort of like plates, but better. In every way. Once we've ousted plates, we'll then fight those forkers in the cutlery industry (long live spoons), before completing the treble by fighting an international quiche conglomerate. Our quiche beef has nothing to do with the first two fights, we just don't like it. Where were we going with this? Oh yeah, we sell bowls and spoons now.

  • This is a long newspaper advert. It says:

Plates suck
They’re too flat - and flat things are bad.
Flat tyres. Flat earthers. London flat prices.
But bowls? They’re nice and round. Round things are way better.
Merry go-rounds. Someone getting a round in. All-expenses-paid round trips to the Maldives.
And roundness is just the start.
Having too much on your plate is bad, but being bowled over is great.
Crooks use fake plates on getaway cars, while bowls never get involved in criminal activity.
Earthquakes aren’t caused by tectonic bowls, and there’s no great sports event called The Super Plate.
Bowls really are superior to plates in every way so give them a, well, round of applause.
P.S. In completely unrelated news, we now sell bowls on our website.
