I just received many kind messages from very nice people congratulating me on a work anniversary . I sincerely thank them all for this nice gesture but it also made me wonder, Is the day we start to work at one place is really an anniversary worth celebrating ?? For a number of reasons I don’t think so. 1. It’s merely a random date for the beginning of a professional relationship with an employer. 2. It’s not personal at all. 3. It will not last forever. 4. Your employer will never congratulate you on that date. For him it’s another ordinary day weather you spent a year or 5 years or even 20 years with the company. An anniversary by nature is the annual recurrence of a date marking a notable event. Thus why do we, employees, celebrate that date and call it an anniversary ? Why don’t our employers also celebrate it ? With all the due respect to all those nice professionals who congratulated me l, but I think we should stop. I believe an anniversary should be called upon much more important personal events on our life. A marriage, an engagement or the birth of a child but not the day we started a new job. What do you think ? 🤔🤔🤔

My thoughts are in the post!
Please join me in congratulating Angie Fisher, RACR on her 6 year work anniversary at Saint Alphonsus. She has made great strides in recruiting Medica Assistants, Clinic Managers, as well as other roles in our clinics and hospitals. We are so lucky to have her on our team! Here is what some of Angie's colleagues had to say about her: "Congratulations on your 6 year work anniversary! I am very blessed that I get to work with Angie and support her! Angie is approachable, friendly, professional, and has a great attitude. Angie is very responsive and I can always count on her to get back to me in a timely manner. We are so lucky have Angie on our team. She is a great asset to the TA Team!" -Karena Whitmore "I am so grateful to have Angie on our team. She is such a great advocate for her candidates and hiring managers. She is passionate about helping others. She is such a great team player and a resource for our team. Any time Angie has the ability to share her knowledge and help out, she always jumps in. Thank you for being the go-to person for our team!" - Jad Mahnken "Happy work anniversary, Angie! Time flies when you're making such a positive impact on the team. Your dedication and hard work continue to inspire us all. I look forward to many more years of collaboration and success together. Cheers to you and your achievements!" -Shauna Faison "Angie is a stellar talent partner and awesome teammate! Her ability to build relationships is only outmatched by her dedication to finding the right candidate for every role she fills. She is a pleasure to work with, and I count myself lucky that I was able to learn from her example." -Megan Marazzo

Genuinely cannot believe it has been 5 years since I started at The Distance! I know a common question is where do you see yourself in 5 years time? I think it is impossible to answer that question, because so much changes within 1 year, let alone 5! At The Distance, I have worked as a Project Manager, Account Manager and now Head of Partner Success. I have learnt a huge amount from everyone I have worked with, but particular shout-outs to: Anthony Main - some of what he says about stays lodged in my brain, and I find myself regurgitating knowledge, passing it off as my own of course! Louise Toal - The Distance - Listening to what I think are genius thoughts and then actually advising a better approach... Gemma Oliver - Creating the structure that makes the sales-to-project life so much easier and always someone I can bounce off. James Paton - Always asks a great question and has a different way of thinking, which again, I have shamelessly stolen to pass off as my own Plus of course, everyone else I have worked with whilst at The Distance, too many to mention, but I have learnt something from all of you! Finally, within the last year or so I have had the opportunity to work with Fiona Chorlton-Voong and Ryan Hall learning about Marketing and Sales outreach, which has been invaluable. I have really appreciated them answering my questions and keeping things simple! Here is to the next 5 years!
📱 Happy 1 year and 5 year work anniversary to two of our amazing team, Kate Lewis and Thomas Boatman. Thank you for being such a great part of our journey, here's to the future! #GreatTeam #WorkAnniversary
