For all those who wish to get to grips with the living dynamics of authority, diversity and collaboration. ⤵️ “At local, national and international levels, our groups and societies face multiple challenges. This can give way to a desire for “strong leadership”, and authoritarian solutions. Against this context how do we build community, foster the capacity to think, and develop sustainable creative relationships?” #collaboration #systemsLeadership

We’ve been closely watching the upcoming Place Yorkshire Industrial & Logistics Conference, and it’s got us thinking. — The industry is evolving faster than ever. — Collaboration and innovation are more important than location. — Sharing insights is key to growth. So, while we may not be on stage this time, we’re fully engaged from the sidelines. If you’re attending, connect with Barry Wilkes ACIOB, Pre-Construction and Planning Director at Glencar, who will share his expertise as part of the panel. Team members Alice Skelton, Aidan Bannon, and Peter Goodman MCIOB will also attend, eager to network and exchange ideas. The numbers tell a compelling story: 📉 Traditional approaches often lead to stagnation. 🚀 Embracing new strategies and insights can drive exponential growth. Success isn’t about being in the right place; it’s about the right ideas and connections. And the best part? When we prioritise collaboration and knowledge sharing, everyone wins. The future of our industry is about adaptability and partnership. Are you ready to embrace it? 🤔 Check out more details below! ♻️ Repost to inspire more leaders to foster a culture of collaboration. 👋 Follow Ascent Onsite Group for insights as we navigate the changing landscape of industrial logistics.

Now that we're all back from summer and various other kinds of breaks, I’d like to share something semi-personal that I will work hard to find time to focus on over the coming months and into next year. In addition to my "day job," I also have the privilege of serving as co-chair of the Page Society in Switzerland. For those unfamiliar, Page is the world’s leading professional association for senior strategic communications and corporate affairs leaders, as well as educators. Our membership includes chief communications officers (CCOs) from Fortune-ranked global corporations, leaders from top nonprofits, CEOs of the world’s foremost public relations agencies, and esteemed academics from top business and communication schools. The mission of Page is to elevate the enterprise leadership role of the CCO. We aim to do this by upholding the highest professional standards and continuously advancing the understanding, practice, and teaching of communications. If you're interested in learning more about our regional and global programs or are curious about membership and how to get involved, feel free to reach out to me or my co-chair, Michael Willi. We'd also be happy to invite you to one of our upcoming events, whether in Switzerland or other key markets across Europe, Asia, or the Americas. In the meantime, here’s a sample of what’s coming up, including our 2024 Global Conference in Half Moon Bay near San Francisco in California, at the end of the month. #Communications #CorporateAffairs #ChiefCommunicationsOfficer #CCO #StrategicCommunications #EnterpriseLeadership #Role #PageSociety #ProfessionalAssociation #Membership

Major gatherings, whether an internal summit or industry conference, provide your organizations the chance to inspire believers, energize supporters, and convert skeptics. As always, there are valuable lessons for the business world to glean from politics — in this case, conventions. BPI’s Jeffrey Nussbaum and Sam Whipple break down the keys to transform your next large-scale event from convening to convincing: ✨ Spirit and spectacle are meaningful. 🗣️ Unexpected and unlikely allies are powerful messengers. 🔎 Getting granular makes it memorable. 🤝 Meet your people where they are. 🔁 A kickoff, not a one-off. Tired of the same old conferences? Buckle up, we're flipping the script. Milica and I have been craving a gathering that's more than just talk and listen for a while. We found ourselves wishing for an in-person event that blends the tranquility of a retreat with the energizing dynamics of a professional workshop. A circle that fosters open, eye-level exchanges with fellow L&D professionals. Set for early summer in Berlin-Brandenburg region, we're prepping something special. Here's the scoop: 1️⃣ We reflect – on macro trends, our organizations, and our personal capacity. 2️⃣ We share – wisdom, insights, and reminders that we're all in this together. 3️⃣ We act – leaving with more than just ideas, but an actionable plan ready to implement. Now, if you want to shape the future of L&D rather than just listening to some thought leader preaching about it, consider this your personal invitation. Spaces are limited, so we thought we'd give you a friendly "watch this space" heads-up. Stay tuned! #learninganddevelopment #invitation #sensemaking
