During National Intern Day last month, I could work on an Instagram project creating stories for 3 days and a Reel for the @maspethfederalsavings Instagram, all aimed to showcase a more personal side of our company. I could conduct interactive interviews with 15 of our interns, asking them a mix of fun personal and insightful professional questions to create a wholesome image of our work environment. If you are interested, you can check out the reel that I shared below where our MFS interns share their perspective about the company. It's always exciting for me to jump into new social media projects like this one! #SocialMedia #Marketing
📣 To celebrate Intern Day, we wanted to hear from our interns about the first thing that comes to mind when they think about Maspeth Federal Savings! Executive Vice President – Origination and Partnerships of Koch Industries | Founder of Koch Disruptive Technologies | Founder of Stand Together Ventures & Stand Together Music
Thousands of community-based organizations are working to deliver personal transformation to their communities, but many lack the resources, knowledge, and support to grow. That’s where Stand Together Foundation comes in – searching the country for nonprofit leaders and organizations who are already impacting their communities through bottom-up solutions and have the potential to transform the way our country thinks about, talks about, and addresses poverty in America. Café Momentum is proving how their transformative approach to reentry into society for young people through providing internships, education, and mental health support, is the model for how juvenile justice should look like across the country. Chef Chad Houser and team have taken our shared principles of deeply believing in people, empowerment, and self-actualization to the next level when supporting over 1,000 “Overcomers” (the name these youth have given themselves). The Stand Together community has supported Cafe Momentum since 2018, but in 2020, Stand Together Foundation took its partnership with Momentum Advisory Collective to the next level by investing nearly $2M to help them scale their model. Even the NFL is getting involved! Shaun Alexander and other NFL Legends have joined the movement to positively impact the lives of many more young people in other cities across the U.S. Imagine what juvenile justice could look like in our country once Cafe Momentum and M.A.C. have brought more of their models to cities over the next ten years. https://lnkd.in/ghWBAfXb.

This is a great example of inclusive organizational #leadership! While it’s not always possible to fly every FTE to every event, I applaud the 49ers for setting an example here — especially in the era of hyper-segmentation and favoritism amongst teams. Finding a way to acknowledge the contribution of all employees, whenever possible, goes a long way toward reducing silos, decreasing intra-office resentment, creating healthy workplace culture, and motivating folks to do their best work. #Superbowl #inclusion #culture #belonging
The San Francisco 49ers are using five planes to fly out 800 full-time staff, interns, family and friends to Super Bowl LVIII today.

Great transformation
Jeanette Smith came to HIM's Birmingham office reeling from time spent on the streets stemming from drug and alcohol addiction. She admittedly lacked hope and purpose, and thought that her life would be that way forever. When she saw a HIM flyer in the mail, however, something changed. She wanted to do something better for herself and improve her situation. She entered HIM Class 2023-5 full of excitement at the thought of changing her life, and was continually radiating joy throughout her time in class with an eagerness to learn and grow. She was then placed on an internship with Community on the Rise, where she was eventually offered a position on staff! In the video below, hear from Jeanette about her job and from Community on the Rise Executive Director Avery Rhodes about why HIM graduates make great employees.
