As part of our business project, my colleagues Amanda Svenstrup Poulsen, Gea Katrine Dræbye, Josephine K. Zindel, and I developed an incentive model for Aalborg Lufthavn to incentivise low-cost carriers to operate routes out of the airport. The model was developed in RStudio, allowing us to draw upon skills encountered in our Business Analytics course. A big thanks to Aalborg Airport’s CEO, Niels Hemmingsen, and Director of Route Development, Annika Liljenberg, for providing us with this compelling case study and the opportunity to present our model in person yesterday. We remain optimistic that our model can serve as a blueprint for future endeavours, contributing to the continued success of route development initiatives at Aalborg Airport.
