Swiss CNC premium precision micro-cutting tools, collets, carbide guide bushings, for medical, aerospace, automotive, dental, connectors and commercial applications
Custom PCD micro-tools for the most challenging applications! Exceptional cutting life and the possibility of dedicated 3D profiles and chipbreakers Even the most difficult materials such as graphite, glass-fibre reinforced plastics (PTFE), polycarbonate with a high risk of delamination, and many others, can be advantageously machined using polycrystalline diamond (PCD) inserts sharpened according to the latest LASER (Light Amplification by Stimulated Emission of Radiation = Device capable of emitting a coherent beam of light) production techniques. As shown in this enlargement, made in our metrology room, the dedicated inserts are of extremely high precision, and are perfectly executed to tolerances unthinkable with more traditional machining. New applications and executions, the most varied given the extreme versatility of the technology, are requested every day to the extreme satisfaction of our customers. https://lnkd.in/gjKHfNKy

What's the difference between MJF and SLS technology? The main difference is their heat source. MJF dispenses an ink (fusing agent) on the powder to absorb infrared light while SLS uses a laser to scan and sinter across each cross-section. Which technology should you choose? Check out Endeavor 3D's latest post for more information. #endeavor3d #3dprinting #3dp #3dprint #additivemanufacturing #additivemfg #polymers #hpmultijetfusion #mjf #edp #hp #multijet #3dprintingtechnology #amcommunity #digitalmanufacturing #additive #engineeringdesign #manufacturing #mechanicalengineering #innovation #mechanical #technology #digitalinnovation https://lnkd.in/eXZmCsnH

PDF Additive Manufacturing of Titanium Alloys. State of the Art, Challenges and Opportunities Bhaskar Dutta, Francis H Froes digsell https://lnkd.in/ed4BgUw9 Additive Manufacturing of Titanium Alloys: State of the Art, Challenges and Opportunities provides alternative methods to the conventional approach for the fabrication of the majority of titanium components produced via the cast and wrought technique, a process which involves a considerable amount of expensive machining. In contrast, the Additive Manufacturing (AM) approach allows very close to final part configuration to be directly fabricated minimizing machining cost, while achieving mechanical properties at least at cast and wrought levels. In addition, the book offers the benefit of significant savings through better material utilization for parts with high buy-to-fly ratios (ratio of initial … Read More » https://lnkd.in/eTDGUJvb

Short and sweet for this #manufacturingmonday A pair of replacement latches to be tested. Additive manufacturing coupled with a digitization, scanning or quick reverse engineering process gives anyone from consumers to businesses the ability to repair and replace parts. Locally. If a part is known to break, make it stronger, print it and then go on your way! No need to throw out the baby with the bath water as the saying goes. These latches will ultimately be printed in xABS on our Xip from Nexa3D but these first general fit tests were printed in M58 on one of our small resin systems. #fixit #localmanufacturing #3dprinting #sustainability

Have you wondered how does pultrusion differ from Resin Transfer Molding (RTM)? Pultrusion and RTM are two widely used manufacturing processes for producing composite materials. While both methods have their merits, pultrusion offers several distinct advantages over RTM. One of the key advantages of pultrusion is its ability to produce continuous, uniform profiles with high fiber volume fractions. The pultrusion process allows for precise control over the fiber alignment and resin distribution, resulting in composites with excellent mechanical properties and consistent dimensions throughout the length of the profile. In contrast, RTM can sometimes result in variations in fiber content and resin distribution, leading to inconsistent mechanical properties and dimensional tolerances.
