An analytical lab on the tip of an optical fiber? Possible with our membrane-on-fiber technology! Mini- and micro-reactors are increasingly used for the development of chemical and biochemical production processes, in particular for #bioreactors. Traditional in-line process monitoring equipment does not match the size and cost requirements of these systems. With their sub-mm footprint, flexibility and scalability, fiber-tip sensors can provide a viable solution for the in-line monitoring of physical and chemical parameters. Congratulations Mildred S. We have co-authored a new paper with Eric Bechhoefer in the Sensors journal. This paper introduces a novel digital twin that integrates vibration signal processing with traditional machine learning to diagnose a specific fault type in rotating systems. The digital twin consistently monitors the condition of the root crack, estimating the remaining time until immediate maintenance is necessary for the physical asset. The effectiveness of this innovative digital twin is demonstrated through experimental data. https://lnkd.in/dUUGJdJK
