For a first order electrical circuit, consisting of a resistor and capacitor, with an initial condition capacitor voltage and no external voltage or current sources, this video “RC Natural Response Derivation v(t)” derives the RC natural response voltage function using separation of variables and direct integration. Every step is shown and described. Kirchhoff’s current law is used to generate the first order homogeneous ordinary differential equation for zero input response (ZIR), also called natural response. https://lnkd.in/g5Evnv97 Timestamps are provided to allow viewers to focus on points of greatest interest in the video. There is brief mention of the often-confusing topic of current and voltage reference polarities versus the physical current and voltage, starting at 3:10. For more detail on this topic for RC natural response exponential decay, please view our video "RC Circuit Natural Response Polarity Reference" https://lnkd.in/gNan_d6V If you are brand new to RC natural response and first order exponential decay and the related time constants, please view our video: RC Natural Response Description https://lnkd.in/guhSg2WK

Learn about the latest status of traceable liquid CO2 flow measurement!
📢 New report alert! Traceable liquid CO2 flow measurement and primary standard requirements, the current state of the art. 🔬 The MetCCUS team created an overview of existing datasets and liquid CO2-flow facilities to investigate how different types of flow meters (e.g. Coriolis, ultrasonic) are calibrated with pure CO2 and CO2-rich mixtures at various flow rates, as well as the transferability to water calibrations. It was found that a small number of SI-traceable calibrations of flow meters with liquid CO2 at the small scale have been conducted. At large scale, there is still a lack of industrial liquid CO2 test and calibration facilities. Potential layouts of liquid, dense, and supercritical test facilities are also explored, both at small and large scale. The last two chapters study the estimation of test facility calibration uncertainty and the operational considerations for liquid CO2 conditions, as several CO2-specific safety issues may arise. 📝 Read the full report on our website 👇 Air Liquide, Czech Metrology Institute, DFM - Danish National Metrology Institute, DNV, DTU - Technical University of Denmark, FORCE Technology, GERG - European Gas Research Group, INRiM - Istituto Nazionale di Ricerca Metrologica, Portuguese Institute for Quality - IPQ, Justervesenet, TÜV SÜD, Universidade Nova de Lisboa, National Physical Laboratory (NPL), Physikalisch-Technische Bundesanstalt, PTB, RISE Research Institutes of Sweden, Ruhr University Bochum, SINTEF Energy Research, Politecnico di Torino, University of Valladolid, VSL National Metrology Institute, VTT

Recalling our play time with gas exchange system Gas exchange system is the beautiful system to understand the physiology of a plant. It measures the photosynthetic rate, stomatal conductance, transpiration rate and many other parameters at leaf level. The main common point for the gas exchange measurement is built on relationship between CO2 assimilation and water loss by transpiration in leaves through stomata. By taking the advantage of this relationship, both specifically responsive infrared wavelengths for CO2 and water vapor were used to develop sensors as the basis of the infrared gas-exchange analyzers (IRGAs). 🌾 The vedio showcase the outline-working module of Gas exchange system.

🔎 "𝗩𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗚𝗮𝘀 𝗕𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗸 𝗗𝗼𝘄𝗻 𝗩𝗼𝗹𝘁𝗮𝗴𝗲 𝗧𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿" - research & development in action! This method identifies the minimum gap that prevents the venting path/gas from arcing. The ignition behavior of the venting gas can be investigated by triggering cells via heat plate. The voltage ranges up to 1000 V and the breakdown length is measured in the range from 0 to 50 mm. 📐⚡ 👉 Read more: https://lnkd.in/d3hamACX #BatteryTesting #GreenTestingLab #AbuseTesting

All articles in Energies (ISSN 1996-1073) Vol 16, Issue 16, are now freely available to access, read and download: https://ow.ly/CzGx50PL1ar COVER STORY: This study analyzes the dynamic behavior of droplets emerging from the gas diffusion layer (GDL) of proton exchange membrane fuel cells into the optimized channel under the influence of gas flow. The results indicate that the 3D wave channel is more effective in removing liquid water compared to the 2D straight channel. In the 2D channel, liquid water goes through three stages—growth, vibration, and balance—from the moment it breaks through the GDL pores until it is discharged from the channel. In contrast, the 3D channel only experiences the growth and vibration stages. This can be attributed to the periodic fluctuation in the cross-sectional area of the optimized flow channel; the forced convection gas imparts a greater shear force on the droplet and, consequently, leads to a greater deformation of liquid water.
