An article from Tatler Asia by Coco Marett on Ovolo Hotels growth and how our Founder & Executive Chairman Girish Jhunjhnuwala has continually providing an effortless and FUN stay but with a 5 star flavour! “The idea started because of my travels around the world. I started thinking about all the things I didn’t like about other hotels and all the things I would do away with,” Girish tells Tatler. At Ovolo, we react dynamically to market changes. By embracing new trends, technologies, and guest preferences, hotels can stay ahead of the competition and meet travellers’ evolving needs. It’s that point of difference that guests inevitably feel when staying at the property. If you’re not evolving or taking calculated risks, you’re not just standing still but moving backward. Nothing great has ever been achieved by people who didn’t dare to dream and strive to do better. #ovolohotels #ovolo #hotels #tatler #tatlerasia #designhotels #hongkong #australia #bali #designerhotels #effortlessliving

Pod hotels, also known as capsule hotels, are no longer exclusive to Japan; they have made their way to the Western world. For those who just need a place to sleep or who don't want to spend much on traditional hotel rooms, pod hotels provide good quality services at a competitive price. These small spaces offer the essentials for a comfortable stay and are attractive to real estate investors. St Christopher’s Inn made headlines in 2018 when they put in 26 ‘capsules’ at their London Bridge property, the first of its kind in the UK. These pods usually have a bed, a secure space for belongings, and shared facilities like washrooms, dining areas, and entertainment zones. Initially targeting business people in big cities, pod hotels are now a great option for budget-oriented travellers due to the inflation-driven rise in average room rates and airfares. Our research reveals that a London economy-based pod hotel can be up to 22% cheaper than a typical budget hotel in the same area. See more:

Lifestyle hotels are making up a bigger part of the development pipeline. But what’s a “lifestyle” hotel? It’s a property run by a major chain that evokes a boutique feel. It may have eye-catching décor, such as local artwork. It almost always includes a cocktail bar or café. According to STR, lifestyle hotels' average daily rates have achieved a $33.60 premium over non-lifestyle hotel average daily rates, and are expected to make up 23% of the hotel development pipeline worldwide by 2025.
Hilton Worldwide said Monday it’s set to double its current count of lifestyle hotels to 700 by 2028. The hotel group plans to open more than 100 lifestyle hotels this year, bringing its total to over 400. https://hubs.li/Q02zgNYt0
