How are top Czech startups implementing AI? This was the topic of Czech Tech Executive Community last week. I had so many notes it took me a while to go through all of them 😂, but here are the biggest takeaways. What are your biggest learnings from this event? Thanks to Jakub Švec (Carl Data Company), Josef Vecernik (Make) and Dušan Katona (CloudTalk) and Filip Kirschner (Applifting) for this debate 🚀

Trusted Lawyer for Swiss Founders & Executives | Risk Management, Venture Structures & Contracts for Your Legal Piece of Mind.
Here's why you should be in Switzerland/Zurich next week 👇 Next week, there are two major events in Zurich regarding startups and AI. 1) The Startup Nights in Winterthur Organized by Startup Nights, the event will take place on Nov 2 and Nov 3 in Winterthur. It's one of the biggest startup events in Switzerland. Everybody is welcome - from founders and investors to industry enthusiasts. The keynote I look forward to the most will be held by Adrien Stamm (CEO at Yuno) on Thursday about circular business models as drivers for sustainable consumption. 2) AI Policy Summit 2023 Friday and Saturday of the same week (Nov 3 and Nov 4) we have another highly anticipated event: the AI Policy Summit 2023 organized by ETH Zurich and RegHorizon . Okay, this event might not be for everyone, but with the insane growth of AI businesses, the increasing use of AI in our daily lives, and the rise of lawsuits against companies like OpenAI, I expect interesting conversations. FYI: Registration is required for both events and I believe the second day of the AI Policy Summit is invitation-only. DM me if you'll be there! The machine does beat our confidence and electricity bills. A warning about LLM and AI from German government: https://lnkd.in/gMDaGDij Yes. Regulation and validation/verification (V&V) are critical. For example, nuclear tests were to V&V atomic bomb models. An UN newly released report said that AI ONLY benefits small amount of states, companies and individuals, i.e., some few humans are making big money by using AI to harm many people. AI is based on math models, and models must be V&V before we can trust them. Using math models to simulate a physical process started from the Manhattan Project in WWII for nuclear bomb design. Then, in 1960s, it came the C4ISR, which is today's AI, whose original missions were just breaching enemy's security, dis-/mis-information, cognitive manipulation, cheat, surveillance, detection for kill, etc.. In our reality, AI causes expensive electricity bills to a C-level friend of ours. 😔 😥 😿 AI can do many things, but NOT everything, at least NOT what we are doing, by using our intellectual property (IP), a copyrighted multilingual metadata. Without metadata, NO data can be found/retrieved, even by AI. https://lnkd.in/g-aJFnXR
"There is enormous value in the application layer of AI for German tech companies." "There is too little cooperation between corporates and startups in Germany." Last thursday I joined the Startup Verband on Tour session in Hannover. And these are the 2 sentences that stuck in my head. Cooperations to bring AI applications to life at German tech companies sounds like a win-win scenario to me. At the same time the current economic situation is charaterized by cutting costs and 0 budgets. Isn't this the time when budgets for productivity increases should be on a high? 🚀 It's time for this week's #AISocialImpactSpotlight! Munich-based startup trail recently secured €1.45 million in a pre-seed round, led by CapitalT with participation from NP-Hard Ventures, Mozilla Ventures, Common Magic, and several business angels.
