Experiencing homelessness is traumatic, especially for children. That's why Metropolitan Ministries is dedicated to supporting these young ones through our PromiseLand Childcare Center and urgently call for volunteers and donations as we see an increasing number of children experiencing homelessness. "Families are really struggling right now," says Christine Long of the nonprofit, citing high rent, costly groceries, and rising living expenses as the main culprits. These factors are causing a surge in homelessness among families and young children. We need your help to continue this vital work. Our application inbox is consistently filled with single mothers facing eviction, living in shelters, in their cars or on the streets with their babies. They are homeless and trying to survive without basic necessities.. Did you know that eviction is second leading cause of homelessness in families with children? According to National Homelessness Law Center, nationally, nearly two out of five people became homeless through involuntary displacement from their housing and 75% of those households end up with less than half of their income to pay for necessities such as food, medicine, transportation, or childcare. The need is great, and the potential impact remains. We have unfunded single mothers and children that need assistance. Don’t feel obligated, but if you’d like to create impact, you can choose to donate to our Basic Needs Fund at upliftingwomen.org/donate. #directfinancialimpact #nonprofit #womensupportingwomen #supportwithinreach

Board of Director Chairperson "CLCL Foundation" -- Choose love. Celebrate life. A Foundation for Youth & Families, Inc.
10- to 19-year-old youth have no place to run for 350 days #AndCounting. 350 days. Still, there's no safe harbor for homeless minors and young adults anywhere in Ocean or Monmouth County, #NJ. No all-in-one beds, food, clothes, free case management, mental health assessments, treatments, groups, and referrals for youth. There's no place for the #Runaway. There's no home for the #Throwaway. When the only options for safe shelter are hours away from home, it deters youth from seeking services they know they need. It denies the opportunity for #family reunification services. Please, support CLCL Foundation , a registered 501(c)(3) created to #RestoreSafeHaven access. CLCL still needs more Board and Advisory members. Donations are #TaxDeductible and are needed to implement our innovative approaches to #ENDYouthHomelessness. https://clclfoundation.org

💡 Giving money to the homeless doesn’t always drive best outcomes. It may not address root cause of homelessness, potentially perpetuating the issue. Funds we raise provide so much more than just temporary relief—our mission is to end homelessness. Donations to HOME do this👇 🏠 Help homeless people receive shelter, health, and social services ⚖️ Prevent episodes of homelessness 🤝 Empower and support our public, private, and community partners to improve their response to individuals and families experiencing homelessness 📊 Track progress in preventing, reducing, and ending homelessness By supporting HOME, you are not only helping the homeless—you’re also aiding the journey out of homelessness 💚 You can help by making a donation at https://home.bm/donate/

1 in 2 U.S. families cannot afford enough diapers, and the problem continues to grow. This diaper need not only affects the babies, who are more likely to face health issues, but also puts stress on the entire family. When a parent spends extra time taking their child to the hospital or loses child care because of a lack of diapers, it makes getting ahead that much more difficult. Babies of Homelessness has tackled diaper need head-on, and we’ve accomplished a lot of great things, including distributing more than 1.5 million total diapers and delivering hope to thousands of families in Western Washington. But like any nonprofit, funding is key to accomplishing our mission, and with our services more vital to the community than ever before, each donation makes a huge impact. One way you can help us deliver hope for the holidays is by spreading the word about our year-end fundraising efforts. Use this image to tell your friends and family why supporting Babies of Homelessness is important to you, and let them know how they can help a family experiencing homelessness by making a donation at https://lnkd.in/g-cc7WjA.

NOVEMBER 11-18 IS HUNGER AND HOMELESSNESS AWARENESS WEEK! Today kicks off National Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week. You can help make a difference to support those in need in many ways, here’s how: ▸ Volunteering at a food bank and soup kitchen—you can bring the whole family to help! ▸ Hosting a collection or purchasing non-perishable foods and donating them to TPCS or food banks in your area. ▸ Buying a homeless person a hot meal or asking them what their immediate needs are. Often a pack of socks or warm clothes in the winter makes a big difference, but it’s not up to us to decide what someone might need. ▸ Making a financial donation to TPCS or an organization in your area that helps the homeless and hungry. ▸ Engaging your house of worship, community-based organization, and/or company to find ways to support organizations like TPCS as a group. It may seem overwhelming at times, but it’s really easy to make a big impact in your community. Get started by making a difference today! #volunteer #donate #homelessness #hhweek

A referral every 45 seconds. Every 45 seconds.
When our referral form is open, we receive an ask for help approximately every 45 seconds. We're London's biggest baby bank network, yet demand for our help from families across the capital continues to outstrip our capacity to support them. As this BBC News London report shows, donating to Little Village will make a big difference to children living in poverty: https://lnkd.in/eRRXn_Y2 Whether it's your child's pre-loved things, time or money, please donate and help us to give children the things they need. Visit our website www.littlevillagehq.org and click on 'Get Involved' to find out how you can help us support more children in London. #ItTakesAVillage #BabyBank #BabyBanks #ChildPoverty #Children #Babies #Donate #London

"48 Hours" can be the difference between a life of heartache and a life of hope. Alone, scared, hungry, out of money, and often without an I.D – newly homeless and at-risk youth will make bad decisions that they can’t take back... unless our Street Outreach volunteers find them first. For the month of April, they will work harder than ever to hit known hotspots (under bridges, bus stations, city parks) to distribute sleeping bags, clothing, food packs, and hygiene products and connect these kids with emergency housing, outreach centers and vital resources and referrals. We want them to know they have options, that there is a way out, and there are caring adults who believe in them – so they can move forward with hope. Need help or know a youth who does? Human Being | Husband & Father | Love Making Technology work | Sales and Service Technology Transformation driver | Agile strategist | Board Trustee |
Women in vulnerable situations are facing challenges due to the high cost of living and basic essentials. Unfortunately, gaps in support, lack of adjustment in financial aid, and the time it takes to receive aid are only making it harder for them. It's crucial that businesses and individuals continue to offer support to help bridge this gap. #womenempowerment #financialaid #supportneeded
The dramatic rise in the cost of living has impacted all of us in some way, shape or form. But the worst of the impact is felt by the most vulnerable in our community -- women and children, most of whom are already in crisis. For many of these women, their primary concern isn't purchasing cheaper food, rather they're facing even more difficult decisions of leaving an unsafe home with nowhere to go or feeling as if they have to stay and risking their lives because they lack the means to leave. This month, we want to raise $150,000 so we can provide women and children at Nisa Homes with the opportunity to lead a safe and independent life and heal from their trauma. How can you help? 🔹 Donate to our LaunchGood campaign to help us reach our goal. Share the campaign with your family and friends as well! 🔹Take part in the #OvernightChallenge on October 20 by spending the night in your car to raise funds and awareness. 🔹Share your rental listing with us so we can work together to provide affordable housing options for Nisa Homes residents. To donate and learn how you can bring our women and children from crisis to comfort, visit: https://nhom.es/njzcKi #NisaHomes #WomensShelter #ShelterRelief #HousingCrisis #Homelessness #MuslimCharity #UrgentAppeal #FromCrisisToComfort #UrgentRelief
