It's that time of year again, and we know how scary it can be for our furry friends. Fireworks may be beautiful to us, but to our dogs, they can be terrifying. The loud noises and bright lights can cause distress and even panic. Let's make sure to ease their fears and keep them safe during this holiday. Here are some tips to protect your dogs from fireworks: 1️⃣ Keep them indoors in a comfortable, familiar space. 2️⃣ Close windows and curtains to reduce noise and visual stimuli. 3️⃣ Drown out the noise with soothing music or white noise. 4️⃣ Make sure they have their ID and are microchipped, just in case they do escape. We understand how important our fur babies are to us and we want to do everything we can to keep them safe and calm. Let's have a happy and stress-free holiday for both us and our dogs. #fireworksafety #protectyourpets #doglovers

Guy Fawkes Night 🎆 is fast approaching, a night when the sky traditionally lights up, and the air fills with the sound of crackling fireworks. It's a time-honoured tradition that many of us eagerly await each year. However, for people living with PTSD, the sudden explosive sounds can be a source of distress. And let's not forget our furry friends, with nearly half of dogs showing signs of fear or anxiety due to fireworks. But remember, this doesn't mean the night has to be any less spectacular. There are countless ways to celebrate Guy Fawkes Night without fireworks. From bonfires and lantern releases to light shows and family games, there's plenty of fun to be had. Taking this into account, Whiteless Wind Farm is hosting a 'nae fireworks' night. Check out the link below; https://lnkd.in/ejcd745w If you're planning on having your own bonfire or firework display, here are some safety tips to keep in mind: Always supervise children: Never let children light fireworks or get too close to the bonfire. Firework safety: Only buy fireworks marked with the British Standard Kitemark BS7114 and always follow the instructions carefully. Bonfire safety: Keep bonfires small and manageable. Make sure it is away from houses, trees, hedges, fences, sheds, or anything else that could catch fire. Emergency preparedness: Keep a bucket of water or a garden hose nearby in case of accidents. #guyfawkes #naefireworksnight
