In a recent column for the The Dallas Morning News, I reflect on some of the great policy and community work I’ve seen in our home-state, Texas, that has helped to build a robust local cryptocurrency ecosystem and led to Texas emerging as a Web3 leader. Unfortunately, this great work risks being underdone by the SEC’s proposed crypto power grab, that we are challenging in our official complaint. Technology is like water. It predictably follows the path of least resistance. You cannot threaten it. You can only delay it. Gensler is fighting a losing battle. The courts, both judicial and that of public opinion, are aligned on that fact.
