I just completed GE Aerospace's Explore Supply Chain on Forage. In the simulation I: * Completed a simulation focused on GE Aerospace’s Supply Chain engineering * Developed a procedure to disassemble a GEnx-1B high bypass turbofan engine core * Utilized engineering data in order to specify applicability, capacity, and size requirements * Successfully dispositioned non-conforming turbine blades using GE's Digital Thread and engineering data * Completed three “Defect Disposition Forms” in Excel for each of the non-conforming turbine blades in the non-conventional machining center Check out the simulation here: https://lnkd.in/gzzkPrpR #geaerospace #forage #supplychain

These technologies are the product of more than a decade’s worth of direct hypersonic-related efforts advanced by GE Aerospace Research and several decades of developments for its GE Aerospace engine business in key areas like high-temperature ceramic matrix composites (CMCs), silicon carbide power electronics, additive technologies, and advanced thermal management. #space #ge #aerospace

In the simulation I: Completed a job simulation where I advised on alternative energy sources for a hypothetical Aerospace team at GE Analyzed and compared diverse energy sources for propulsion systems, including cost, energy density, storage requirements, and how they impact design decisions Conducted in-depth research on bypass ratio and compression ratio and their impact on turbofan engine design, including fan diameter, noise, installation considerations, material limitations, and emissions implications Developed a technical presentation to effectively communicate the limiting factors associated with bypass and compression ratios that helped guide the decision-making for a next-generation propulsion system at GE Aerospace Check out the simulation here: https://lnkd.in/gWtnRNc4 #forge #aerospace #aerospaceengineering #aerospaceindustry #jetfuel #explore #explorepage
