We recently gathered our sales and marketing teams for the first commercial conference since 2017. During the conference, the team reflected on achievements in previous years, analysed the strengths and weaknesses in our approach, and shared our plans for the future and how to further grow with our customers. There was a specific focus on showcasing our commercial excellence initiative, which is a strong pillar of our transformation program. At Georgia Association of Manufacturers (GAM) meeting this week promoting the benefits of communicating visually with employees. Great sessions! Today I learned: - Georgia needs more power generation, nearly all power produced in GA is used every day and 25-40% more demand coming next 20 years. Some manufacturing facilities are installing mini nuclear power plants on premise from Cherry Street Energy - Much of the future demand is from data centers, in fact, one proposed data center will require 1MW of electricity. That is a LOT. - ChatGPT AI searches require 10x power of a typical Google Search. - GA manufacturers need workers, many more workers and they pay well - Brian Robinson and Tharon Johnson have a fantastic bi-partisan podcast, a dynamic duo that may have different viewpoints, but respect each other, sometimes even agree with each other and are FUN to listen to!
