Once again a pioneer: The DRIVE PILOT by Mercedes-Benz is the first conditionally automated driving system that operates in real-life-driving conditions. Here are three facts you did not know about: 1. THE LICENSE: In December 2021 Mercedes-Benz received the world's first internationally valid system approval for conditionally automated driving. 2. THE SENSORS: DRIVE PILOT uses over 30 sensors that can even recognize road conditions such as if the street is wet or not. 3. THE REDUNDANCY: With DRIVE PILOT vehicles safety-relevant features have a fallback: Brakes, steering or sensors: if one system fails, there is another one to take over. This is called redundancy. With the DRIVE PILOT Mercedes-Benz again meets its own aspiration of constant innovation. The automated driving functions takes over certain driving tasks. However, a driver is still required. The driver must be ready at all times to take over control of the vehicle when prompted to do so by the vehicle. To use the Digital Extras, you must create a Mercedes me ID and agree to the terms of use for the Mercedes me connect services.

How do we bring the off-road experience into the digital age? With the new OFFROAD COCKPIT! Drivers can access the new OFFROAD COCKPIT directly via the off-road control unit. The media display provides an overview of the most important and relevant data for off-road driving as well as functions and features to support off-road driving. So, it lets drivers see everything at a glance and empowers them in off-road situations! The content is displayed in various tiles, which can be changed using direction arrows. There are also buttons for quick access to certain vehicle functions that are important for off-road driving. These include the artificial horizon, compass, altitude, steering angle and torque as well as tyre pressure and temperature. Laura's 1958 Mercedes-Benz 219 Ponton, a family member for just two years, bridges generations with shared passion. "My dad and I love vintage cars," says Laura, a dedicated Mercedes-Benz employee. This love for classic cars runs in the family, passed down from her grandfather, who restored many old-timers in his own auto body shop.
