A 22MW TURBINE OFFSHORE I perfectly understand these companies and the principles of building a bigger turbine to generate more electricity from a less amount of turbines. These monsters they’re building are great achievements of spectacular engineering with some very skilled design and construction involved. However! What about making sure the global fleet of turbines we have already are staffed and maintained correctly. There is so many of us in the industry that know things are not what they should be at the moment and yes companies, well, some are making efforts to improve maintenance and reliability by employing more qualified personnel to ensure greater electricity generation. We know that there are numerous fleets of turbines not running at full capacity due to lack of maintenance programs. Can the focus be to ensure a better rate of generating electricity through properly organising operations and maintenance programs. #windturbines #windturbinetechnicians #offshorewind #bladerepair #workingstheights
