I definitely need to go faster next time @rinsadadevice Thanks to Dr. Ada @noh_eyes… I am testing out another dry eye treatment. Early case studies are promising. ✅Did you There is inflammation and bacteria trapped under the eyelids contributing to irritation. ✅Rinsada provides a deep irrigation that minimizes irritants on the ocular surface. #innovation #retinaanddryeye #optometrist #newdiscovery #treatments

Looking back at some of the different medical devices we’ve been involved in. Flowfusor Irrigation System The Flowfusor Irrigation System is used by surgeons during cystoscopic procedures. The Flowfusor is inverted and the spike pierces the bottle, which in turn releases fluid to wash away impurities blocking the viewfinder of the endoscope. This allows surgeons operating the endoscope to properly interpret the information which they receive from the procedure and diagnose their patients. Find out about Europlaz’s involvement here: https://ow.ly/U8Fa50P3OWL #productdevelopment #medicaldevice #medtech #flowfusor #cytoscopic

Have you experienced challenges in successfully disinfecting and removing biofilm from titanium dental implants? Check out the results of novel photoacoustic irrigation modalities for laser biofilm removal in model geometries mimicking the peri-implant pocket: Biofilm Removal from In Vitro Narrow Geometries Using Single and Dual Pulse Er : YAG Laser Photoacoustic Irrigation | Laser & Health Academy https://lnkd.in/dNt6jrFp Both SSP and AutoSWEEPS photoacoustic irrigation techniques removed at least 92% of biofilm bacteria during the 10 s photoacoustic treatment. The dual-pulse Er:YAG AutoSWEEPS photoacoustic irrigation showed better results compared to the single-pulse SSP modality. No chemical adjuvants were needed to boost the effectiveness of the photoacoustic irrigation in the saline solution. In the best-case scenario, 98.5% of biofilm bacteria was removed with the AutoSWEEPS modality. The new results support the introduction of both SSP and AutoSWEEPS laser modalities in clinical practice as additional tools for the treatment of biofilm related peri-implant diseases. #Fotonalasers #dentists #mustread #SWEEPS

We developed a novel technique called MCP (Meticulous Cauterization Protocol with Apical Preservation) for Robotic Prostatic Aquablation that allows: 1) this procedure to be done as an outpatient procedure (no hospital stay required), 2) crystal clear post-op urine (no need for traction or continuous bladder irrigation), 3) great flow with a huge prostatic opening, and 4) apical preservation to try to preserve ejaculatory volume. It’s all about bettering patient outcomes safely and effectively #mcp #bph #enlargedprostate #defendthedetrusor #defenderofthedetrusor #roboticsurgery #roboticaquablation #aquablation #prostateaquablation #wintergarden #orlando #florida Sham Shiblaq Barry Templin Charlie Wiggins Matt Anderson Max Swanson Andrea Flores Madison Mullen Jordana Ramsay-Gonsalves Christopher Arana Miranda Arens-Bennett Stephanie Guerrant, RDMS RVT Cristie Quihuis-Bell (Mitchell) Wayne Kuang MD Rahul Mehan PROCEPT BioRobotics AdventHealth Central Florida

The main issue w/ hematuria is clot retention causing urinary retention, which can be diagnosed via either Ultrasound imaging of the bladder vs. inserton of an indwelling catheter To clear the clots, consider a large bore/ single lumen catheter to flush them all out, followed by a triple lumen catheter for maintenance irrigation The Continuous bladder irrigation−CBI catheter lumen is not large enough to clear clots, simply acting to prevent clots from forming (prophylaxis) knowmedicine.net

'Patients with visible haematuria with large clots, clot retention or haemodynamic instability should be referred to A&E as they are likely to need an urgent three-way catheter insertion, bladder wash, irrigation and possibly a blood transfusion' https://bit.ly/3RalGL1

As promised, the 2nd 'In Practice' paper from Söring GmbH... This looks at how different types of #braintumour require different combinations of the three elements used during ultrasonic fragmentation. Another great 5min read for those that have any interest in this field. Dr. med. Lhagva Sanchin, BG Hospital Bergmannstrost Halle... "Tumour consistency can vary greatly at different depths, particularly in large tumours (e.g., meningiomas), making it necessary to adjust the set- tings quickly". "The settings for ultrasound intensity, aspiration pressure and irrigation rate should be calibrated to achieve the desired effect in the best possible way. My work has to be extremely precise, particularly in the vicinity of critical structures, so there must be no unwanted aspiration of tissue and nothing that can impair my view". "I reduce all setting parameters when working near vessels and nerves: for example, for a tumour with medium consistency (Medium I consistency class), I reduce ultrasound intensity to 14%, aspiration pressure to 0.18 bar and irrigation rate to 4 ml/min." #DeltaSurgical #YoungsModulus https://lnkd.in/e3ffnRZK

Accessory/lateral canals and apical ramifications have been implicated with Endodontic treatment failure, when they are sufficiently large enough to harbor significant numbers of bacteria and to provide these bacteria with unimpeded access to the periradicular tissues. Accessory/lateral canals are arguably difficult to reach, clean, disinfect, and fill during treatment. Key to success: IRRIGATION and ACTIVATION with Sonic/Ultrasonic devices! #rootcanaltreatment #accessorycanal #mandibularsecondmolar #endodontistlife
