Leading Integrity Whistleblowers are heroes of integrity, conscientious protectors, with a strong moral compass. They deserve to be recognised as national heroes/heroines in the same way as the best veterans. When we start awarding national medals to whistleblowers, we will know that integrity matters. While they continue to be persecuted, with no legal protections, we know that wrongdoers have a green light; a charter for corruption.

When Enron terminated Watkins' employment, she lacked any remedy to hold them accountable. And whistleblowers did not have any financial incentive to risk their careers to report fraud to the SEC.
