A wonderful talk by Rory Sutherland I've just stumbled upon from the last NudgeFest. In his talk, named "Are We Now Too Impatient to Be Intelligent?" Rory makes the claim that we're losing much value from speeding things up (think Email, LLMs) and narrowing down a complex problem into a numerical model being optimized (dynamic pricing and wolt came to mind) , and share some examples where taking it easy can produce better results, and be much more enjoyable.
