We all know that we need to prioritize the environment. This is why it is great businesses are wanting to do the same thing ♻️ According to a recent report based on a business survey in Aotearoa, New Zealand, an impressive 82% of businesses expressed their desire to prioritize nature conservation and sustainability. 70% plan to increase their investments in nature projects over the next five years. Lastly, 24% have specific targets related to nature, focusing on areas like freshwater and deforestation. If these numbers continue to rise and everyone focuses on sustainability and the environment, Aotearoa, New Zealand will be a more sustainable country for future generations to come. Sustain’s Message on World Environment Day 🌿 Together with our guests, we have the incredible privilege of spending quality time in wild spaces. Our ethos is to ensure the biodiversity of these places is preserved for future generations, and to contribute towards restoring them. The theme for World Environment Day 2024 is #GenerationRestoration, and we believe that together we can drive change. Here are some ways we can all make a restorative difference: ♻ * Choosing travel options that respect local communities and prioritize best practice conservation. ✈ 🎎 * Supporting local farmers and choosing organic products to promote sustainable agriculture. 🚜 🍉 * “Rewilding” sections of our gardens with more indigenous fruiting plants and seeding grasses and allowing them to blossom to full inflorescence and fruit. 🌾🍇 * Joining a local tree-planting initiative, using native species, to contribute to reforestation efforts. 🌱🌳 * Taking simple actions that have a big impact on conserving our precious water resources like purifying and mineralizing our water instead of buying bottled water, fixing leaks, taking shorter showers rather than baths, and using water-efficient appliances. 💧💦 * Reducing waste by rethinking our consumption habits, opting for products with minimal packaging, repurposing items, and recycling wherever possible. 🍟🍬 * Donating to conservation projects – we’re proud of our Sustain Conservation Fund whereby a percentage of each tour we run is donated to the fund to support our favourite organizations doing very special work.
