Happy #FairWildWeek! We are joining in to raise awareness about the importance of wild collection and to advocate for sustainable sourcing. An entire world is hidden in products that we use in daily life, a world that’s often overlooked but that has direct links to biodiversity and the livelihoods of many communities worldwide. We’re talking about plant ingredients collected in the wild. A wide range of these plants can be found in the herbal and fruit infusions and beverages we enjoy every day: licorice, nettles, elderberry, silver linden, rosehip, wild apple and many more. They often come from highly biodiverse ecosystems, where they are collected by local communities who possess profound knowledge of plants going back generations. Our sustainable sourcing standard mabagrown is acknowledged by the FairWild Foundation as a best practice for wild plant sourcing because it helps protect plants, wildlife and communities. #leadingthebotanicalway #martinbauer #sustainability #biodiversity #wildlife

🌼 National Pollinators Week 🌼 This week, let's celebrate pollinators' incredible role in sustaining our food supply and maintaining healthy ecosystems. Bees, butterflies, birds, and other pollinators are essential for growing many crops and preserving biodiversity. Biological products — which target specific pests and other challenges without disrupting the beneficial components of an agroecosystem — are a tremendous tool for helping maintain healthy populations of critical pollinators in the environment. Why Protect Pollinators? Sustainable Food Supply: They help produce fruits, veggies, nuts, and seeds. Healthy Ecosystems: They aid in plant reproduction, supporting ecosystems that clean air, stabilize soil, and sustain wildlife. Economic Value: Pollination supports agricultural economies, contributing billions to global food production. Let's work together to protect our pollinators and appreciate their invaluable contribution! 🌺🐝🦋 #NationalPollinatorsWeek #SaveTheBees #ProtectPollinators #SustainableAgriculture #BiologicalProducts

Happy National Honey Bee Day (August 19th) • Today, we celebrate the honey bee, a sustainability champion, and ecological hero! Honeybees were designed to be nature’s ultimate pollinator, supporting and sustaining biodiversity across the globe. They have sophisticated communication and navigation systems that ensure the efficient transfer of pollen between diverse plant species. This process enables the growth of the majority of our flowering plants, including the crops we rely on for food. Maintaining healthy hives is important to helping our honey bee populations thrive, and wouldn’t be possible without the help of skilled beekeepers. Beekeepers inspect hives for abnormalities, identify diseases, and care for honey bees so they can pollinate with ease. There are a lot of things we can be doing to take care of our honey bees. Happy World Bee Day! Today we celebrate one of the smallest but incredibly essential beings on our planet: bees. This day is not only an opportunity to recognize their importance, but also to reflect on how we can protect them and support their survival. Why are bees so important? Pollination: Bees play a crucial role in the pollination of flowers, fruits and vegetables. Approximately 75% of the world's food crops depend, at least in part, on animal pollination, primarily bees. Without them, our diet would be much less varied and nutritious. Biodiversity: By helping the reproduction of plants, bees maintain the biodiversity of ecosystems. This not only ensures the beauty and diversity of our natural landscapes, but also sustains the food chains that depend on these plants. Hive products: Beyond their ecological function, bees provide us with valuable products such as honey, wax, propolis and royal jelly, which have multiple uses in food, medicine and cosmetics. How can we help them? Plant bee-friendly flowers: Opt for native plants and flowers that bloom at different times of the year to provide them with a constant source of food. Avoid the use of pesticides: Many pesticides are toxic to bees. Look for natural alternatives for pest control. Create bee shelters: You can build or buy small shelters for solitary bees. Support local beekeeping: Buy honey and other products from local beekeepers who practice sustainable beekeeping. Educate yourself and educate others: Awareness is key. Find out and share information about the importance of bees and how we can protect them. On this World Bee Day, let's take a moment to appreciate and thank these tireless pollinators. Without them, our world would be a very different place. Let's unite to protect and preserve bees! @followers #WorldBeeDay #SaveTheBees #Pollinators #Environment #trinidadandtobago #Environmental #caribbeanisland

#WorldBeeDay - The relationship between #bees and #almonds is an ancestral bond that has existed for centuries and one that we at Alfrus mean to protect at all costs. Honeybees are among the most important pollinators in the world. This means that, without their essential contribution, many plants and fruits would risk extinction, including almonds. That's why today we celebrate World Bee Day, to draw attention to the central role and the need for greater protection of these small insects, who have always been small guardians of global biodiversity. Every day, we strive to support the health of pollinators by creating the best conditions for their life cycle. We select our almonds exclusively from environmentally friendly crops that respect nature and its balances, where nature is still the protagonist and where bees are considered valuable allies. We feel part of an ecosystem that must be preserved, which is why we will continue to support initiatives to protect bees and promote beekeeping. Because the future of the planet depends on bees. #foodingredients #foodindustry #sustainability #export #confectionery
